  • Cohort Rotation for Blended Learning Students

Beginning on Monday, April 26th, Flushing High School will transition to a two cohort rotation for blended learning students. Students in Cohort A will report to the building Mondays and Wednesdays. Students in Cohort B will report to the building Tuesdays and Thursdays. Friday will remain a remote learning day for all students. What this means is that each blended learning student only reports into the building two days per week.

The decision to return to the cohort model ensures that we continue to comply with the health and safety standards set forth by the CDC and provide a safe environment for all our students and staff. In addition, all students must have a valid COVID consent form on file to enter the building. Please follow the Department of Education’s protocol for completing the form if you have not done so already.

Please note, if you want to transition to REMOTE learning only the learning preference survey is still available and you may switch at any time. Complete this request if you have no intention of returning to the building. This is extremely important as it allows us to properly plan for all students. Note, once a student switches to remote learning, they cannot switch back again this school year. Thank you for your continued support.

  • NYC School Survey

    Parents:

Every year, all parents, teachers, students in grades 6-12 and select school support staff take the NYC School Survey. The survey helps school leaders understand what key members of their school community think about the learning environment at their school. The information captured by the survey is designed to support a dialogue among all members of the school community about how to make the school a better place to learn.

Please see flyer for the link to the survey and how to access it.

  • Graduating Seniors DOE Google File Transfer

    Seniors:

Beginning May 3, DIIT will begin emailing you from GoogleFileTransfer@groups.schools.nyc, as a reminder of the opportunity to transfer your Google files to a personal Google account before graduation, but no later than September 30. The DIIT email will provide instructions for making the transfer process easier by using Transfer Your Content, a G Suite for Education tool. You will receive a total of five reminder emails—one in May, June, July, and twice in August. It is important that graduating seniors follow the instructions in these emails before September 30; after this date DIIT will deactivate all Google accounts of seniors who have graduated. Please note that once an account is deactivated, it cannot be restored.
