Flushing advances to the Division A and B Wrestling Dual Meet Championships

Flushing High School's wrestling team has completed its regular season undefeated, 11-0. The team is ranked number one in its division. The quarterfinal playoffs will take place on Tuesday, Feb.2nd and Semifinal playoffs on Feb. 4th, both at Flushing HS. Congratulations!!! (PS Thank you to our coaches!)

Project College Bound @ Flushing High School Takes the Headlines

The program, a two-year effort funded through a $2 million grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and matching funds from Deutsche Bank, was launched in fall 2009 in Flushing.

Flushing is Awarded a $200,000 Annual Grant over Two Years

Our school is a recipient of this grant. Each grant will range between $200,000 to $350,000 annually over two years.

Please note the date error for MidWinter Recess shown on the report cards issued today

There was a mistake in the date for the Midwinter Recess shown on the report card issued to students today. The report card states that school will be closed on February fifth. This is incorrect, Please note that winter break begins on February 15 and ends on February 19. All students must return to school on February 22.

New York State Education Department Proposal for Restructuring our School

We are asking all parents to be present at a special Parent Association meeting at 7:00pm on Tuesday, January 26th. Our school Principal will discuss the recent press release, made by the New York state Education Department, regarding the proposed September 2010 restructuring of our school.
